When the travel restrictions were impose, I was outside Australia. So I have been stopped to travel back to Australia. Which is unfair as I have paid the fees for 4 years. Such visa holders also paying the yearly Tax even and may be more than others. So We should have right to come back. But government is not doing anything for this as they are not helping for job keeper payment, not allowing to come back, not paying for Medicare, etc. I will follow the same rules as citizen and permanent residents do.

This is an important issue to bring up. But I think you are missing another cohort of people. People with temporary skilled Visas which have been living in Australia for years and that were travelling while the travel ban was enacted. This is a group of people that have jobs, homes and well-established lives in Australia and are unable to return to the country where they live being left just with what they were carrying while travelling. This situation has not been considered as compelling enough to be allowed to enter the country.

I know this because I am one of these people, and I can assure you that the impact is very significant, would be great if you could add this group of people to your article.

kind regards,
