“If Australia wants to slow the rise of the nations” – why would this be a good thing? Australia wants the best economic environment for itself,and the best security. It does not want to stunt anyone’s growth. That would be the ‘weak man’ response, and ultimately a doomed one.

If Australia wants to slow the rise of the nations in this region and their potential military threat, it is best to award this contract to an established Western country. The key is to delay, hinder and/or negate the former’s military advancements.
