They can use it in their advantage to travel very fast with addition of the latest information. For sure this isn’t the reason of the huge increase we have seen last years.
Firstly we need to improve the conditions in there home countries. Not by just sending money to the government, this will only fall into the wrong hands. Many of those government are corrupt and will only enrich themselves. Offer economic and political stability. Use UN resources for micro credit, education, and most important warn them about the dangers. Many migrants can’t find work and live in severe poverty. Ensure perspective are good ones again so people don’t have reasons to flee there home country.

They are economic migrants who will be hard to assimilate and will not stand to the challenges of free industrious societies. Don’t advocate for a bad outcome.
