Dr Micha’el Tanchum is a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Global Energy Center and the Eurasian Energy Futures Initiative at the Atlantic Council.

His area of research is the geopolitics of energy, with a special focus on the strategic implications of newly emerging patterns of energy connectivity in Eurasia and the Indian Ocean Region.

He also conducts extensive research on the energy politics of the Caspian basin region.

Dr Tanchum holds a PhD from Harvard University and was a Fellow at Harvard’s Olin Institute for Strategic Studies and its Weatherhead Center for International Affairs.
